Livin' in the Rhythm
Dynamic/Interactive Rhythm Based Programs
for Groups of All Ages...

Our Philosophy

As we move into the 21st century with all our technological advances, the need to connect with our community, our fellow co-workers, family and friends becomes imperative. Livin' in the Rhythm, an interactive music program, provides the opportunity to bring your group together as one community.

Since the humble beginnings of Earth Rhythms a decade ago, it has been our goal and vision to bring people together through drumming and music. We have educated and empowered thousands of students through our global music assembly program and delighted and mesmerized over 100,000 people through our interactive team building and community building programs.

Our program has consistently received rave reviews throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Recently, medical and scientific research has documented the value of this experience resulting in reduction of stress, an increase in positive immune system factors and a general sense of well-being. We are committed to bringing an array of quality programs to the educational, corporate and health care community.

We invite you to consider our dynamic, rhythmic and interactive Livin 'in the Rhythm program for your next school assembly, staff training or retreat/conference. We guarantee you'll be glad you did!

Interactive Workshops

Our facilitators will bring a wonderful selection of world drums and percussion instruments to your organization. Group size 10 to 300.

Team Building

This dynamic and upbeat experience is a fun and musical way to bring your group to life. Participants will develop team spirit and have a hands-on experience to realize the power of their organization when in "synchronicity" and see the essential aspects of a unified team. The music created by the participants will focus on the goal of the team to work together in rhythm with each other to promote co-operation rather than competition.

Community Building

The focus of this workshop is community building, developing listening skills, new ways of communicating and using rhythm as a metaphor for building positive relationships. We will provide participants with an opportunity to experience creative expression while in a supportive group setting. The program includes a guided global sound meditation to develop self-awareness and tools for integrating relaxation skills into everyday life.

Livin' in the Rhythm Assembly Program

Our global rhythm Educational Program will take you on a journey of sound and rhythm from ancient Australia to Africa and beyond. Using world drums, percussion, storytelling we will use group participation to create a global rhythm ensemble that will bring your school together as one community.

Participants will have a hands-on opportunity to play for their peers thus learning to listen and play rhythms that are found throughout the world. Through the processes of learning, listening and performing, students are empowered with high self-esteem and left with a feeling of success.

Students and staff are given the opportunity for building community and increasing cooperation and teamwork. The inspiration of the musical environment enables all participants to feel part of the group and community, thus increasing tolerance while at the same time celebrating diversity.

At the end of the program we include a guided music and sound experience to give students a chance to relax and develop stress management skills.

For Pre-K to 6, we will include a puppet appearance that will teach children about world cultures. Through rhythm and stories children will learn how to transcend differences and celebrate their individuality.

Rhythm Peace

A dynamic, new interactive rhythm workshop focused on building a healthy and violence free school. Ideal for SAP teams, peer mediation, anti-violence and no-bullying programs already in place. Ask for more details!

Artist in Residence Programs

This unique and dynamic artist in residence program includes art, music and dance. The objective of this residency program is for students to develop an aesthetic awareness of their surrounding world through art, rhythm and dance as well as to develop skills in using the arts as modes of personal expression and communication.

Together students and staff will work to create a global community that promotes tolerance, explores diversity and supports the creative process of each individual within the community. The residency program is designed to suit the schools already existing schedule and/or curriculum.
