Art on the Avenue
Saturday June 20th 10am-7pm
Now in its fifteenth year, the West Reading Art on the Avenue family festival is the community's premiere special event. This year the event is scheduled for Saturday, June 20th 10AM-7PM. The day long event will feature artists and crafters from the region exhibiting their wares along the sidewalks of Penn Avenue. In addition, Penn Avenue business owners participate with sidewalk displays and activities as well as "event specials" inside the shops. The West Reading Main Street Foundation coordinates and produces the event and schedules entertainment and festival foods and beverages. Please visit their website for more information.

Bumbada! Drumming Classes
Every Tuesday evening in Earth Rhythms. Class is 6:00-7:30pm. Drop-in rate $20, or $17 bulk rate per class for the series. Kid's are welcome! Children under the age of 15 $10. Usui Tibetan Reiki
Level One
with Rev. Matthew Thomas
Learn the beautiful and powerful healing art of Reiki. Reiki (pronounced RAY-KEE) translated means Universal Light. If you can understand it and feel it, then you can do it. Its the most natural thing in the world. The level one class is one day, 6 hours long. Included in your fee, in adition to the training itself, you will receive a manual for future reference. Upon completion of the class you earn a certificate.
This class will be held at Zenergy on Sunday June 14 from 12:00-6:00pm. Registration is required by Monday June 8th. Class fee is $50. Bring a friend! Check out Earth Rhythms, www.sandree.etsy.com and www.onebead.com to see Sandy's latest handmade beads and marbles and new fused glass plates, soap dishes and coasters. Etsy is a fascinating online collection of all handmade items from many different artists.
Make sure to visit Sandy at West Reading's Art on the Avenue (Saturday, June 20 from 10-7) where she will be selling her lampwork glass beads and jewelry. Sandy has also come full circle and returned to selling her lampwork beads on ebay where she first started out in 1997. Check out her ebay auctions at. Earth Rhythms Drum Circles
No experience necessary... just a desire to have some fun and feel good!
Join us twice a month to celebrate drumming and improvisational music. Bring any drum or percussion instrument. A limited number of drums and other percussion instruments are available at the drum circle. Suggested donation $5.
One Beat at a Time Drum Circle is held the 1st Saturday of each month at the Easy Does It Recovery Center in Leesport. Directions: Take 222 to 183 North. Go about 2 Miles and turn left onto Hilltop Road. Continue about 1 mile and turn right into the Easy Does It Recovery Center.
The New Moon Drum Circle is held the 3rd Friday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 416 Franklin Street, Reading.

Mark Seaman is the owner and operator of Earth Rhythms in West Reading, PA. Mark has studied with Glen Velez, Pete Barnhart, Arthur Hull, Barry Bernstein and Paulo Mattioli. He has also completed training courses through Rhythm for Life and Unity with a Beat. He has presented his programs for nationally known social, corporate and community agencies. His program was recently featured in the American Journal of Public Health. Thousands have enjoyed his digital recording "Global Sounds Meditation".

Zenergy Arts & Wellness Center

Located at the rear of the Earth Rhythms building, on the second floor. The Zenergy Center continues to prosper. Many of you may have already attended a class or workshop at Zenergy, and we are continuing to expand our schedule.
